COMMUNITY HOPE PROJECTS:
Community Hope Projects, Inc. (CHPl) is a not-for profit corporation in the state of Texas and was formed in 1994 to expand the ministry of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, allow it to receive funds for its activities, but above all to enable the development of new or expanded ministries to better serve the people of the area. The projects will help people in the Lower Rio Grande Valley achieve greater life opportunities in the areas of education, health, housing, job training, and family life enhancement.
The Family Health and Resource Center (FHRC) is the health care component of the services being developed by CHPl.
The Family Health and Resource Center's mission is to plan, develop and deliver family-centered health services to families and individuals with limited resources living in the geographical area of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas.
The'Family Counseling Services are to address mental health issues and to provide marriage, and family counseling and are delivered by a cadre of psychologists and social workers, all of whom volunteer their time with FHRC.
Hope Medical Clinic (HMC) is the "free" clinic to serve those without access to medical care. Services are delivered by volunteers physicians, nurses, and various health professionals.
