With Hope Medical Clinic & Family Counceling Services as a volunteer, You accept the guidance of the administration and bring concerns to the attention of the administration. If unable to arrive at the time for which you have been scheduled, immediately advise the administration so adjustments may be made. With Hope Medical Clinic & Family Counceling Services you should expect to, Be treated as a professional and a co-worker. Receive adequate information and support from the administration. Work in an environment free of harassment, whether sexual, ethnic, age, handicap, or religious in nature. Learn and understand the patient/client population and access to care issues.
Have your comments heard and your concerns addressed. Hope Medical Clinic & Family Counseling Services expects volunteer to, Uphold the mission of Hope Medical Clinic & Family Counseling Services and in the creation of a compassionate setting in which to give assistance to our patients/clients. Maintain the confidentiality of all the patient/client information at all times unless il is discussed with another Medical or Mental HealthCare professional who shares in the care of that patient/client. Sign a Hope Medical Clinic/Family Counseling Services confidentiality form. Stay informed of Hope Medical Clinic & Family Counseling Services policies and procedures.
Be committed to serve at the times agreed upon. Advise the administration with anticipation when a change is necessary and to cooperate in finding a replacement. Mission of Family counseling services, Is to deliver family-centered, mental health services to families and individuals with limited resources in the Rio Grande Valley. The services will be offered as one component of an integrated health care system. FCS affirms the cultural diversity among those served. FCS will provide care for persons without regard to religious affiliation or beliefs, race, national origin, age, sexual orientation or any disability for which we have the capacity to provide services. Hope Medical Clinic & Family Counceling Services Family Counseling Services is a resource for families, the elderly, adults, children, who are or need help in the following areas,, Victims of Incest and Sexual Abuse,, Family Violence,, Physical Abuse,, Behavior Problems,, Anger Management,, School Truancy,, Parenting,, Alcoholism,, Drug Abuse,, Stress Management,, Grief and Loss,, Marital Problems,, Depression,, Anxiety,, Educational Concerns,, Support Groups, Hope Medical Clinic & Family Counseling Services is staffed by volunteers physicians, nurses, therapists and other health care professionals. While our services are, there will be expenses. A donation is strongly encouraged. The volunteer staff of Hope Medical Clinic will provide basic, quality health care and education to those persons without access to other sources of medical care. The medical services will be offered as one component of an integrated health care system. We affirm the cultural diversity among those we serve. Hope Medical Clinic is A resource for families, the elderly, adults, children, who, are without means to pay for our services,
are referred by an accepted parish, congregation, synagogue, doctor or a social service agency, reside in Hidalgo County, whose combined famiy/household income is less than 200% of poverty level, need health education, screening, and basic testing: such as blood sugar, urinalysis. Patients are to come with a referral form completed by one of our referring churches or congregations, or other non-profit agency, and must have an appointment before they will receive service. Proof of residency in Hidalgo County and total household income must be bought for verification.

Below are some of the most common professionals or ways persons serve., Medical and Mental health care providers, including but not limited to;, Health Educators, Laboratory Scientists, Medical Assistants and Aides, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Pharmacists, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Other related activities, Housekeeping and maintenance of the building and grounds, Reception, clerical, filing, and computer entry, Special activities: planning, preparing, and cooking., Fundraising and grant writers., Recruitment and coordinating of volunteers. COMMUNITY HOPE MISSION, The Family Health and Resource Center's mission is to plan, develop and deliver family-centered health services to families and individuals with limited resources living in the geographical area of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas. COMMUNITY HOPE PROJECTS, Community Hope Projects, Inc. (CHPl) is a not-for profit corporation in the state of Texas and was formed in 1994 to expand the ministry of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, allow it to receive funds for its activities, but above all to enable the development of new or expanded ministries to better serve the people of the area. The projects will help people in the Lower Rio Grande Valley achieve greater life opportunities in the areas of education, health, housing, job training, and family life enhancement.,
The Family Health and Resource Center (FHRC) is the health care component of the services being developed by CHPl.,The Family Health and Resource Center's mission is to plan, develop and deliver family-centered health services to families and individuals with limited resources living in the geographical area of the Rio Grande Valley of Texas., The'Family Counseling Services are to address mental health issues and to provide marriage, and family counseling and are delivered by a cadre of psychologists and social workers, all of whom volunteer their time with FHRC., Hope Medical Clinic (HMC) is the free clinic to serve those without access to medical care. Services are delivered by volunteers physicians, nurses, and various health professionals. Qualifications of volunteers, At the time of orientation, the volunteers will be assigned a placement for the volunteer work based on interests, training and experience., Volunteers must be at least 18 years old with the following exceptions:,-Volunteers between 16 and 18 years old must have written permission from their parents or guardians., parent must accompany volunteers 15 years old and younger., All volunteers must be approved by the administration prior to beginning the volunteer assignment., Criminal Background checks will be made on volunteers.
